Setting Up

If you’ll be running ads for special categories, keep in mind that a series of extra steps, including ID verification and/or Page Disclaimers among others, will have to be completed by both the Page Owner and the person that will implement the campaign before starting the implementation process.

Since Facebook can take several days to process these procedures, we advise preparing them at least two weeks in advance of starting the campaign.

After that, you’ll need to ensure the proper measuring systems are in place and working correctly on the site or app.

Then you’ll have to make sure the creative team has the correct specs for the Goal and Placements that will run. You’ll find some useful tips and considerations about creatives in this course.

You are now ready to define your audiences, you can set them up beforehand and save them for later, or build them as you go within each ad set.

Finally, you’ll implement your campaign from Ads Manager. You can learn all about it here.

Keep in mind that a carefully thought-out campaign planning and implementation, with minimal interventions while it runs, will be key for achieving the best results, because the learning phase resets when we make changes.
